This past Sunday, while we were in Cache Valley, I wanted to have some family pictures taken. Anyone who knows the male members of my family, knows this is no small request!! I had Darin on board with the idea a few days ahead. Whew!! I warned Logan the morning of, that he would have to wear jeans that button. When it came time to get dressed--oh boy!!! That little boy wanted NOTHING to do with any form of clothing that had a button, and that didn't feel as comfy as PJ's!! Let the bribery (and the threats) begin!! I did have grandma get out a few choices for prizes after the photo shoot--but he wanted nothing to do with them, and only wanted a DOG as his reward for posing in a BUTTON!! Ufda!! We didn't end up going to the spot I suggested for the picture taking. We had to go somewhere that Fode and Darin could "scout" for deer. It was the middle of the deer season!! It ended up being a great spot for pictures and it was a good little outing for us all. The kids ran around a bit and loved being in the mountains for a minute. Thanks to Darla for snapping all the photos!! We are a wiggly bunch, and she did great!!
Hmmm?? Do we still look young and in love??
Not exactly a wall portrait--but the most accurate portrayal of our family.
This little boy was born to be this man's son!!
Like Father like son in SO many ways--especially their handsome looks!
Who knows how many years it will be 'til we snap another family photo!!
Until then, this is the current "us"!!

I love them all! What a beautiful family you all make!
WOW I love them all. We have the hardest time getting a family photo McKenna is always the one having a hard time with it. Rob also hate to have his picture taken. I'll have to show him your blog maybe that will change his mind.
VERY CUTE WIDZ!!! Logan and Ellie are so adorable.
Those are awesome pictures! You're so lucky to have had the chance to get out and have them taken. It continually amazes me how much your family matches - absolutely no doubt you were made for each other!
I love these pictures! Especially the one where you're all standing holding hands. You guys are such an amazing family! I know this might be funny to say, but I've always thought Logan looks just like Darin! Fun that they're so much alike!
What a perfect little family! It kills me that Logan only wanted a DOG for his reward!! What's a mom to do?? Rather impressive you were able to sneak a photo shoot into the middle of hunting season! I could use some pointers...
The pictures are beautiful and you all look so happy! It was a great spot!
So, did you see any deer? My hubby didn't see a thing last weekend! They're hiding I guess!
Anyway, Sarah is in New York this week playing! Can you believe that???? NO fair!
those are adorable. Wow - I so need to get pictures taken.
What a beautiful family! I love the crisp fall background in your pictures. I've never been a "fall is my favorite time of the year" kinda girl, but I think I’m there? I wonder if that means something. (I know I am over thinking).
I loved hearing from you! I love that you love the Founding Father too. I am currently reading a book called the 5000 year leap, it’s about the genius of the constitution. I learned about the book from Glen Beck, The LDS radio sensation. Do you listen, and if so what do you think? I would love to see the John Adams special. OK.....I feel myself going on and on so I'll slow down.
It's just that I haven’t found many people who are even willing to think or talk politics, I totally get why.... It's painful....and can become contentious, nevertheless how do we just sit by and hope things get better? Actually i have only found people who are looking forward to things getting worse, so they can ultimately get ALL BETTER.
Those pictures are adorable!
Great family Pics. Your babies aren't babies anymore. Keep in touch
