Most of the Jones family were in Cache Valley this past weekend for the opener of the deer hunt. Saturday we had 14 of the grandkids there. (Plus Wyatt and Shay, our cousins from the other side of the fam.) We really missed the other two cousins--we love you Maddie and Savannah!! Grandma Jones had a Halloween party in mind, and the kids had a blast all day long. Although some of the more organized folks (me included) didn't let the kids get costumes on til later in the day, the festivities were an all day event for these 16 kids!!

Some of the party highlights were the apple dunking that aunt Dalynn set up. Pretty funny to watch the kids!! The donut eating was a hit with the kids--who doesn't love a Hostess donut?? They also played Halloween Bingo, and decorated pumpkins that grandma had bought for each of them.
All the kids sure love to cut and paste and create at grandmas. She has a big tub of markers and stencils and such that she lets the kids have at whenever there creative itch strikes!! Or whenever the chaos of the zillion kids gets to be too much and they need a "sit-down" project.
Grandma Jones had a witches "brew" full of bats and rats and snakes. (All rubber of course.) It was homemade rootbeer, that actually didn't turn out. Probably because I did the mixture ahead of time--never leave a recipe alone with me--distaster is bound to happen!! The kids didn't seem to notice though.
Ellie's "real" costume was a black cat. But she wore this hat and cape around half the day. Pretty cutelittle witch if you ask me!!
Making paper pumpkins and ghosts as a "pre-party, keep-em-occupied" activity. All the kids sure love to cut and paste and create at grandmas. She has a big tub of markers and stencils and such that she lets the kids have at whenever there creative itch strikes!! Or whenever the chaos of the zillion kids gets to be too much and they need a "sit-down" project.
Cousins, Marc and Ashley cutting and glueing pumpkins and ghosts for the wall.
Great Halloween party guys!!!
