OK, I'm doing this as a trial run for adding a photo to my blog--but the info in this post is REAL!!! Meet "Little Angel" the baby rattle stuffed bunny, and "White-a", the stuffed puppy. I know he doesn't look white, but he is compared to his brother, "Brown-a".

My kids have SO MANY stuffed animals, and cannot concieve of parting with ANY of them. There are a few favorites, that go with us everywhere. But I am nearly at my wits end with stuffed animals. The kids greet them upon coming home, talk to them as if they were one of the family, blame their actions, on the animals, etc. But the part that is puting me right over the edge is their VOICES!!!! Imagine your childs most whiny, babyish, annoying voice--that's "Little Angel". We have started refusing to let the stuffed animals in the car because we can hardly stand the voices just to the grocery store. I have imagined dozens of "stuffed animal bon fires" and mysterious disappearances of almost-family members. "Little Angel" is currently missing. I DID NOT hide her. I have no clue where she is--she always turns up. But it is a lovely thing when one or two of the favorites are lost.
By the way, "Little Angel" was bought for a quarter at a yard sale. In the photos the animals have been given playdough hats and seats. The kids LAUGH THEIR HEADS OFF at these photos. I don't see the humor and am speechless at the joy these things bring my children. Aren't stuffed animals supposed to stay in the top corner of a room in those "pet-net" things?????

Too funny...and too bad about Little Angel's mysterious disappearnce!
What a hoot! My kids haven't gotten attached to anything like that- thank goodness! Hang in there- it's just a phase, right?
I am so glad that you are starting a blog!! You are doing a good job!!
Miriam come on let them take their stuff animals with them, you know you like it. Reagan takes some of her's to school and keeps them in her backpack.
I know what you mean about too many, I got rid of a lot without my children noticing. But I have to admit I kept the ones that are to cute to give up.
Good luck on blogging.
I was a stuffed animal kid even till I was about 11. I didn't turn out too bad, but my mother probably had some fits too. My D is a nut about stuffed animals and anything soft so he has a ton, but I figure there are worse things to love.
