To perm or not to perm??

OK. Lately I have wanted to get a perm. EVERYONE I ask says don't do it!!! I think it's all this remembering the good old days--glory days of my youth!!! But it can't be just that...I've had three perms since I've been married. I even thought maybe I'd just try crimping my hair---but I got rid of the crimper/waver iron a decade agao. And...I don't think they sell them anymore--at least not at Walmart. Maybe I should join Ellie and wear braids every other day to have "curly" hair!! So...to perm or not to perm...that is the current question. Or....where can you buy a crimper these days?? I mean, the 80's are IN--so wear are those crimpers?? Or was that the 90's??

Me soon after we were married. Maybe 1996?
Posted by PicasaThis was the most recent perm I had. It was five years ago when Logan and Ellie were babies.

Try a 3 barrel curling iron (I think this is what they are called) They look like the old school crimpers but fatter. It makes the nice waves, sort of like the effecet of taking braids out. Good luck!

I have a 3 barrel curling iron if you would like to borrow it-- I never use it becuase it takes forever to do with my thick hair. I think I've used it 3 times since I bought it about 6 years ago. Anyways, you are welcome to it. I'm coming down that way on Wednesday if you want to find a way to make the exchange.

I'm not a big fan of perms, although with long hair they're not so bad. I've got a triple barrel curling iron as well. It takes me about 20-30 min, but I like the way it looks. You're welcome to borrow it anytime :)
