Our pretty princess Ellie came just as sweet as sugar!! She was a good baby and was very patient with the time we had to devote to Logan in the early colic days. But she did not forget to give us some pretty loud signals that she was THERE!!! She gave a little girly, feminine scream when we met her at the hospital--I think just to let us know what she was capable of. Almost as a warning, "I will be patient and quiet for now, while you need me to. But just you WAIT til I get a bit older!!! You can't even imagine the spunk that will come out of this tiny, precious, feminine, angel of a bundle!!!" And we wouldn't have it any other way!!! On days when she has a serious attitude and will not budge, Darin often says, "It is amazing how much like you she is even with different genes!!!" That's my girl!!!
Our sweet buddy, Logan, let us know early on that he would be needing our undivided attention. He gave us a few weeks to settle in, and then let us have it!! He cried non-stop for hours and hours and hours. It put me over the edge of sanity, and ultimately resulted in our moving back to Utah. Luckily for all of us, it was a short lived, intense couple of months, and after that, the little angle was the happiest baby on the planet earth!! He was big and beautiful and brilliant and truly a joyful baby!!
Here Logan and Ellie are three weeks old. A photographer came to our home to take this picture. They did not like posing for her one bit, and started to cry right after this shot. It made me so sad to see them uncomfortable that I made the gal stop. That was enough. Little did I know I'd be forcing them to pose for pictures for the rest of eternity!!! But no matter how many pictures i take, it's never enough to hold on to the age, the feeling, the moments. It flies by as fast as the camera flashes.
