Today was the annual Primary program in sacrament meeting. The kids had to practice for the two hour primary block, and then remain in their seats on the stand for sacrament meeting. I did take the kids out for a snack really quick...but that's a LONG time to be in those choir seats!! Bouncy choir seats that go up and down!! Logan wasn't the only child on the stand boinging up and down a good portion of the meeting. But I think he was the only one who actually stood up on his chair. Twice. The kids both said their parts great. Ellie was sweet and confidant and darling. And Logan wanted to make sure the microphone was good and attached before her said his line. He held the mic and moved it back and forth a few furious fast times before speaking into it. On a side note, two weeks ago Logan left primary mad. For the first time ever!! He was ticked because his line for the primary program only had five words, and Ellie's had seven words!!! They did great singing the songs, knowing the words, and signing the lyrics to "The Hearts of the Children". The closing song was "Families Can Be Together Forever". And as I sang the words, watching my kids bounce around in the choir seats, I felt so blessed that they are mine. And blessed that Darin and I always have a new day to try again with them.
FYI--Logan is wearing new church clothes today. This time his "church T-shirt" has a fancy coordinating colored color!!! Matches the navy elastic-waist pants. And notice his hairs standing on end in back. The boy does not do buttons, zippers, ties, or combs.
After church we went for a drive and found a fun little spot on a stream with this rope swing. Pretty fun for the kids. And we caught a glimpse of a few leaves changing color.

The primary program was great! I was so impressed with all those little ones :)
Where's that rope swing? Looks like so much fun.
I love the line "...no buttons, zippers, ties, or combs." What a hoot!
