Two weeks ago Ellie started ballet lessons. We are SOOOOO pleased with how excited she is, and how hard she is trying in class to catch up with the girls who have already been in the class for a couple of months now. Her teacher, Elise, is a professional ballerina who has studied ballet in London and San Fransisco. Ellie is in the 7-8 yr old class instead of the 5-6 yr old class.
Ellie is completely in her element during ballet class. HEAVEN!!! I am excited for her. It is so beautiful to watch her dance while the classical music plays!! I worry about future dance classes she may want to participate in---ones with suggestive moves and outfits. But for now she is our Ballerina Girl and a natural, if I do say so myself!!
My camera battery died at practice last week. So these pics are not the best. But I wanted to document the beginning of Ellie's dance lessons. She is excited that they are already practicing parts for "The Nutcracker", which they will perform at the new high school in December.

She's definitely got a dancer's body! Good luck to her. Let me come to her recitals--it's hard not having a little girl!!
