A Stay-Home Saturday!! Yippee!!

Today the kids and I had a great day at home. Darin was gone helping out a family member, as well as getting in a few hours of elk hunting with his brothers. So, he had to have someone sub coaching for Ellie's soccer team. This morning the kids were having one of those grand mornings where they build forts with every blanket and pillow in the house--while mommy SLEPT IN!!!! They never asked about their soccer games--so I never mentioned them. And we just skipped out on soccer today.
The gal I am subbing kindergarten for, Amy, stopped by today with her little family!!! We were so excited to get to hold her Little Natalie for the first time. What a DOLL she is!! Ellie was pretty proud she got to hold her!!

We still feel so lucky that Ellie's kindergarten teacher from last year has become a friend to our family. Today she brought us a great autumn basket full of apples and caramel, Halloween stickers for the kids, and yummy gourmet popcorn and pretzels. Sorry Darin, but Naomi and I downed the whole bag of the chocolate coated popcorn!! Thanks Amy!!

Naomi and her two little girls came to spend the day with us. It was great to have Logan and Ellie focus on playing with Aleena and not beg to play with friends all day. I love it when they just STAY HOME and no friends come over. (Don't get me wrong, neighborhood moms--and keep sending your kids over. If you don't, my kids will come knocking on your doors asking for them. Once in awhile, it's just great that they are content without their neighborhood friends!!)

We set up the bounce house, and the kids just played on the swing set, colored pictures, low-key stuff. We did take a trip to Walmart and McDonald's later in the day. I HAD to buy the new Snow White DVD today, since the $10 off coupon expired today. And...Naomi is so awesome!!! She totally cut my weeks and weeks of coupon inserts that I haven't touched. She said just seeing the HUGE pile of uncut coupons was giving her anxiety!! THANKS Naomi!!! I wish I had taken a picture of Naomi's little Bailee. We had planned to get some pics of her smiling, but the day got right away from us. She is such a sweetie and I loved holding her today!!!!

Bounce house beauties and bubba!!!

Posted by PicasaLove it when we have an unrushed, relaxing day like today!!! We had planned to make Halloween sugar cookies with the kids today, but we just never got around to it. Now we have the perfect project for tomorrows Sunday afternoon!!!

Sounds like my kind of day. You and Naomi are so lucky to have eachother. Hopefully we will see you soon. If you aren't using the bounce house on Halloween, I would love to borrow it for a party I am having for the kids and some friends. Is it too big to haul around? May I also borrow your ring toss supplies? Am I just asking WAY TOO MUCH?

Thanks.

What a great day for you! We sure missed you at soccer though! We played against Jace, Jaxson, Seth J.(or was it Aiden?) and Ethan T.-- so you missed a fun bunch of moms :( Here's to next week!
