Last night we decorated candy houses...like we have every year. This year we each had our own little one, instead of helping the kids with big ones. And....in the spirit of simplifying things this year, we made them out of Pop-Tarts. I didn't want to spend the $44 for us to each have our own pre-made one, and I didn't want to try to make gingerbread from scratch. Searching cyberspace saves the day...and Pop-Tarts are IT!!!
The kids got pretty creative on their own. Logan licked his fingers after placing every single piece of candy--so things got pretty sticky!!
Now we have a cute little North Pole Village lining one end of the dining table. Such a fun tradition.

I'm loving the poptart idea, it's too late for this year (since we already made them with graham crackers,) butI'll have to remember it for next year!
Wow, Pop-Tarts! I never would have thought of that. I think we just might try that this year!
