Fun-packed couple of days!!

Earlier this year we got a SWEET deal on the Salt Lake Connect Passes. I purchased them, knowing we had to use them before the end of the year. They were two-day passes, and we ended up finally using them on December 30-31st!!! We had a fabulous time and would definitely buy these passes again. We weren't able to do even half the activities, but we still did a LOT!!!

I purposely left my camera home for those two days out and about. I just wanted to have fun with Darin and the kids and not worry about being the gal behind the camera the whole time. The aquarium was holding a big New Years Eve event for kids, and happened to be taking photos, so we actually do have this one pic of the kids!!!

Our first day, we hit the Gateway Children's Museum twice during the day. The kids can never get enough of that place!! Darin and I actually took turns shopping at The Gateway while the kids played. We also went to the Planetarium. Again...we had just been there on my birthday. This time we saw a fun kids movie about a cardboard rocket going to all the planets. It was on the round dome star theater screen, so that was neat!! The we got to see "Santa vs the Snowman" 3-D on the IMAX screen. It was great to watch the kids reach out and try to grab stuff in the air--because of the 3-D glasses. Then we rode Trax up to Temple Square, and ate lunch at the Lion House Pantry Restaurant. It was yummy food and fun for the kids to choose what they wanted. Logan couldn't believe that place REALLY used to be Brigham Young's home!!!

On day two we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point, The Living Planet Aquarium, and out to lunch at Applebee's. We loved the seahorses, octopus, and the BLUE frog at the aquarium. It was just a great, relaxing day with the kids. Perfect!!!

Posted by PicasaSo the bargain shopper in me has to list our sweet deal!!! Regular price for the four of us to go to the Children's Museum, see two movies at the Planetarium, eat at The Lion House, go the the Dinosaur Museum, and the Aquarium...would have cost us $204. We only paid $76, and we could have gone to lots more places...the zoo, aviary, more museums, the tram at Snowbird, the Olympic Park, all included in the same ticket!! But we didn't want to rush and feel like we had to do it all. It is the way to go for a couple of days out with the kids!!
