Happy Birthday Dalynner-Ninner-Nod-Pod !!

So, Darin's little sister, Dalynn also has a birthday this week! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALYNN!!!! This gal and I go WAAAAAY back. Long before Darin even existed in my mind. It's hard to find pictures from those early days. Some do exist--I just have no idea where. Remember that old camera, Dalynn? And the photo shoot on the flower bed? Where are those pics? (The picture below is from some time in the past few years.)

Dalynn and I were friends our entire childhood and teenage years. We had SUCH a fun time running around together......tormenting our young women leaders, ruling the school bus, tromping through the muddy spring fields, swimming in the river all summer. Ah...that was the life. Here are a few pictures from our teenage years. I won't even try to figure out what years these were taken. Doesn't really matter--they were the good years.

Then I went ahead and married her brother!! Poor girl!! She definitely took a back seat while I "used her for her brother". But hey--it made us family forever--so that was worth it, right??

Posted by PicasaDalynn truly is one of the best people I know. She is the genuine article, true to the core. She has never once, not since we were kids, ever left any doubt in my mind as to where her priorities are and what she believes in. There were a few rough times during those teen years. What with her hanging out with the rebel likes of "That Miriam Daugs!!!". And her parents thought they had a problem when she hung out with me as a teenager. Whoa---try having me marry their SON!! Oh yes, we were hellions for sure. Taking part in the likes of toilet-papering, camping with boys, and.......um........oh ya, attending every single possible youth and young women activity that was ever held!! Bet folks wish their teenagers were so rebellious these days!! Our circle of friends extended years above and below us....but only a few miles around us. It was a time like they make movies about....a perfect time. And Dalynn and I were smack in the center of it all.
Happy Birthday Dalynn. Thanks for all the memories. Let's get makin' some more!!
