Today Paige and Trenton were over to play. They are some of our "regulars" and they know the ropes around here pretty well. So, I actually decided to lay down on the couch to take a quick power nap while the four kids are upstairs playing. I can hear them, and know they are up to some grand adventure. But I want to stay horizontal more than I want to know what they are doing.
When I finally decide to go check it out--this is what I find. All four kids on my bed in the middle of every pillow and blanket that we have in the upstairs of the house!! It looked pretty fun--so I just couldn't get mad. Instead I got the camera.
I did, of course put a time limit on the adventure, and made sure they put every last pillow in it's place afterwards. My kids LOVE to do this. They usually call it a "nest" or a "pile". It usually happens in the TV room when friends are over...not on my bed. Maybe I should have just taken my short afternoon snooze ON MY BED!!! And yes, Paige is wearing my robe. All the pillows. All the blankets. And one robe? Whatever. They had a great time.

Wow that's a lot of pillows and blankets! It sure looks fun. So Lexie has mastered making cookies all by herself. The only problem now is that my boys want to do it all by themselves. I'm not quite ready to teach them. We might have someone making cookies (and all the mess) everyday around here!
Paige came home and told me all about their "nest." They try that at home and I never let them get too far (and my room is off limits). She said you are the nicest mom cuz you didn't even get mad!
