So, today is the first official day "off school" for summer break. So far so good. We tried out our new morning routine of jobs, time with mom, and no friends. Started swimming lessons. Played with a friend all afternoon with no problems. Made clay sculptures. I made dinner. (I mean, I did other things too--laundry, cleaning, church calling, kid time etc. The regular stuff. But dinner is not always the norm for us--so thought I'd mention it.) And tonight we're off to the new frozen yogurt joint for FHE. Day 1 of summer break was a success.
The kids made these clay sculptures with their friend, Paige. They include a dog, a cat, a banana, a flower, a marshmallow on a stick, a starfish, and a red sun. (And many more.) So creative!! Love it!!

Love the clay creations. You are always so creative with your kids I love it. Hope you have a great summer, it looks like your off to a great start. We still have 8 more days of school.
