My Hero Is....

This week at school the kids both wrote about their hero. I wanted to post their own handwriting, but our scanner isn't working right. So I will just type their own words. (And spelling.) Ellie wrote...."My hero is my great grandmother. Becaus she is really nice and she gives away Jewls. and she gives away treats and she alway lets me watch t.v. in her room. and she lets me sit on her Bed and sit on her cofyest (comfiest) chere She lives in logan town" Too cute!! This picture of Ellie and her great grandma is a couple of years old. It lets me know we don;t take enough pictures with grandma!! Her great grandma is Beverly Tanner. David Letterman fans may have seen her on his show a dozen times. She has been"The Mad Baking Lady" on his show. She has lived with Darin's parents for years now, so the kids have always known her. Pretty special to get to know your great grandma!!

Logan wrote..."My Hero Is my dad. he helps me from danger. and from strangers to. and he prtecs me" Logan is definitely Darin's little guy. They are great buds and Logan believes there is nothing his daddy cannot do!!
I'm so glad kids get these writing assignments in school. Keepsakes for sure.
