Nutcracker 2010

Last night Ellie's dance group, Lake Pointe Centre for the Performing Arts, performed The Nutcracker. It was so fun!! They performed at the high school, and it was an impressive production. Ellie's class was in nearly all of Act 1, with the party scene, the wind up doll, and Clara with her Nutcracker. It was so great to watch Ellie's expressions and see her do a little acting along with the ballet. They were party girls, and in one dance they all danced with little stuffed bears.
I love the magic of the Nutcracker and was excited Ellie was able to participate this year. Last year she had strep the day of the performance. It's now her dream to play Clara in a future performance, when she is older.
My camera didn't do well taking pictures during the performance. Luckily, we will be getting a DVD of the entire show. Can't wait for Ellie to see it.
This fall Ellie has been carpooling to dance with three of her good friends. Paige, Emma, and Anna. It is so fun to know so many of the little ballerinas in this dance company.
Ellie's ballet teacher, Miss Elisse, played the part of The Sugar Plum fairy. She was amazing to watch. We are so lucky to have her for Ellie's teacher. Several other professional dancers were brought in to play the parts of the Snow Queen and the Cavalier. It was so fun to have such a professional production in our community.
Of course Daddy had flowers for Ellie at intermission.
We sure our proud of our beautiful ballerina!!
