The kids are back in school today. Darin is back at work. I am a little bummed about that. I like them home, and have loved this holiday break with Darin and the kids home for so many days. We had a great New Years Eve and Day. Fodie and Mel (Darin's brother Derek and his wife), stayed over night. The guys went rabbit hunting in the desert for a few hours. Mel and I did a puzzle and just hung out. We all played cards and talked til midnight. We're a little boring when it comes to ringing in the New Year. No shouting, fireworks, long kisses, etc. I think we must get it together for all the future New Years!!
We had fun taking the kids sledding on New Years Day. It was a blue sky day, with a perfect view of The Great Salt Lake. So pretty. Ellie lucked out with Dad and Fodie both pulling her up the hill on her sled. Logan had his friend, Devun come with us. We all had lunch at Wendy's. (Gotta get those peppermint frosties before they are gone for the season. Thanks for the heads-up on these, Marilyn!!)
Later that afternoon it was a babysitter for the kids and shopping for the adults. We met up with some more fun family, and went to dinner at The Mandarine in Bountiful. So yummy and fun to hang out with everyone. Thanks for coming Fodie and Mel. We have such a great time hangin' out with you guys!! Happy New Year.

It was fun reading all of your blog posts about your holiday adventures Miriam! And you should have posted about peppermint frosty's at Wendy's a bit earlier! Are they gone for the season? We need to get together soon.
No wonder your kids were never home when Paige and Trenton wanted to play over the break ... you were out having fun. Looks like you had a great christmas full of family fun. Here's to another good year!
