After a nice Sunday afternoon nap, we headed to City Creek Canyon Memory Park for a picnic. This is such a fun place. So many trails and monuments and bridges to explore. You can see there were sandbags on both sides of the river, because of this wet spring we have been having. One of the pics is looking down on our picnic blanket from where we were hiking. You can see in the background that this canyon is just below the state capital building.
PBJ's, pasta salad, fresh fruit, chips and cookies were on the "throw-together" menu.
It was a gorgeous day and we could see the entire Salt Lake Valley from the top of the canyon.
We also spent some time in the Brigham Young historical park and playing in the city creek that leads from Memory Park to temple square. This is such a fun place--we must go back with little friends to splash about.
