So, I love reading an old friends blog, "Kickbuttmommy". Because so often she writes the log of what they did during the day. The regular, everyday life stuff. Today has not been my favorite day. And to help me feel like the whole thing wasn't a waste for me personally....I will log the days events. Get ready, because this is SUPER exciting!!!
*Did a couple of loads of laundry. Did not fold any.
*Took the kids to swimming lessons. Just dropped them off. Did not stay to cheer and encourage and watch.
*Made the kids lunch. Real lunch. (Not just misc. finger food, which is what they usually get.)
*Spent a huge amount of time online reading up on what to do about my children who feel like they are entitled to the world. Spent time ranting and raving to husband about the state of our kids behavior. Husband did not disagree, but did have a hard time not laughing at me!!!
*Painfully followed through on the kids consequence of playing an hour later than normal, because of their bad attitudes after our cousins field trip yesterday.
*Got groceries.
*Went to visit a friend with a new baby. Brought toys for her toddler that we have outgrown.
*Worked on a game for our family reunion later this year.
*Made brownies for a neighbor, as a thank you for dinner they brought us earlier this week when I had a small surgery.
*Organized a few more meals for my good friend who has a new baby.
*Cleaned out and filled the plastic pool. (The kids can't actually fit IN it anymore, but it's a good source to cool off.
*Let the kids play with friends for way.Too. Many. Hours. One full hour of which there were five of them yelling at each other in the basement as they built with blocks and played some game I couldn't figure out. After telling them three times to stop yelling or they would have to go home---I just shut the basement door and curled up on the couch. I was just glad they were actually playing and creating and it involved no form of modern technology.
*I should currently be calling them in from the park to get ready for bed. But it's summer. It's beautiful outside. And I am not quite ready for the screams that will come from the male child when he hears my call.
So, see. I did do something today. And I might do something tomorrow. You never know.

Well, aren't you a sweetheart? I have to say that while I know it bores most people, I love going back now that I am doing books of each year of my blog and remembering so many details I for sure would have forgotten! Keep up the good work!
