BFF's from forever ago!!

You know the kind of friends who you haven't see for years....15 years to be exact....and when you see them again, it's like you never skipped a beat? I love these gals!!! Sarah Degn Brazier, on the right, has been my dear friend since the second grade. And in sixth grade, when several elementary schools merge into one middle school, Carla Brown Parker, on the left, joined our ranks of BFF's. Sarah actually lives really close to me. We didn't even know it for years...but we do get to see each other once in awhile now. But Carla lives far away and we have not seen her in fifteen years!!!

The two pics above are from the summer before our senior year in high school. Don't we just look so young and innocent and fabulous and incredibly naive as to what the next 20 years would bring??

And here we are yesterday, 20 years later. At the McDonald's just off the freeway, where we met for a short visit that Carla squeezed in for us, on her way to the airport. Our kids ran wild in the playland. (Well mine and Sarah's kids anyways. Carla's sweet little ones were probably in shock!!)

Next year is our 20 year high school reunion--that's when the three of us will be together again. Can't wait!! And after all the reminiscing yesterday, I can't wait to see everyone else next year as well!! We sure all lead different lives now. But it is so fun to recall the "glory days" with these gals!! Love you guys!!!
