Hi everybody who may read this blog. Just decided to make a post to feel connected with the world....at least cyberworld. I just read a bunch of blogs and feel like I just "caught up" with a bunch of you. By the way, does technology makes us MORE or LESS connected as human beings? If you want to connect with me...here's an update for today.
*I am sick. So sick. Stomach flu sick. I hate it.
*The kids can't have friends in the house because I am sick. They are outside with friends. Ellie just came in to inform me that Logan has flooded the garage. I will not be going to check it out.
*For the second time this summer, I am spending the day contemplating teaching school full time next year. By next year, I mean starting next week. I don't think I want to work full time. It will take away from what I have to give of myself to my kids. But, man alive.....it is so tempting!!!
*We have NO chicken noodle soup in the house. How is that possible? I have got to get back into stocking my house. Not one lousy package of Lipton Noodle soup---which is all my stomach-flu self can imagine eating today.
*We were all slated to attend the Cache County Fair later this week. But those plans are now falling apart. Looks like we may be staying home all week.
*Ellie had a dance try-out placement class yesterday. She was offered a small, darling part in The Nutcracker, which will take place in November. She gets to be the baby mouse, who is on stage alone, while Clara is sleeping, and then runs to get the big mice and returns with them. She will also still be in the acts that her class is performing in. Her dream is to one day be Clara. We'll see a few years down the road.
*As you can tell from my previous post...my kids will have a very busy schedule when school starts.
*As you can tell from my previous post....I want to live in the country.
*I have heated up some minestrone soup to try with crackers. Oh dear....not a good idea. I am reminded that I am sick, and will now go back to my post on the couch....while my kids play outside completely unsupervised!!

sorry you are sick. do you need me to go to the store for you??
Oh Miriam! Sorry you're sick! I totally would've brought you soup-- homemade at that! I personally think cyberworld makes me more connected. It could easily go the other way though. It inspires + motivates me. + gives me more compassion. Congrats to Ellie! Hope you're feeling better :)
