The kids (and myself) had Thursday and Friday off school this week, for UEA Fall break. I really wanted to go on a vacation of some sorts. When that didn't come together in time, we thought we'd just do an over nighter in Park City. And when it came right down to it--that just sounded like work to me...not a break. So we have stayed home this long weekend and it has been GREAT!!
Thursday the kids played great together all morning. (No friends over--yippee!!) After lunch we headed to Hollywood Connection with passes I bought awhile back. I thought the place would be packed with it being UEA. Nope....there was seriously NOBODY there. It was totally unexpected and I loved it!! The kids played mini golf two times, went on the rides as they pleased, and roller-skated. Ellie has owned roller-skates for a couple of years and skates great. Logan is just learning and did so great!! He fell down a lot, but never got mad and just kept on trying. One or two more times and he'll be zoomin' around the rink!!
Afterwards we headed to Costco. Gotta have their fresh raspberries every time I am near a Costco. And somehow the kids managed to get us out of there with a huge box of Ghirardelli brownie mixes. (Not that I am complaining!!) Great first day of Fall Break for us!!
