The weather has reached record highs for April. It has been fabulous. (For now.) I assumed that meant everything would bloom sooner. But last week I asked Darin why he thought the lilacs hadn't bloomed yet. Then this week--BOOM! Everything came out. When I took my first inhale of a handful of lilacs....I got a little emotional!! What?! I know...weird. But I did. Lilacs take me right back to being a child or right back to my mom. And those are happy memories. I miss them.
Other stuff is coming to life as well. Thanks to our neighbors we have huge trees.
And here are our own quakes starting to get leaves!! Wahoo!
