Each time we walked down to "our beach" this is the picture perfect little path we took. And each time, I lingered behind to watch my family melt into the beauty of it all.

First picture of the kids the first time we walked to the beach.

The sunshine, thunderclouds, rain showers, and sunsets, were brilliant the entire week. In awe always.

Second time down, early the next morning. Logan and me in PJ's. Darin in boots and a jacket. Kids clothes all WET!!

Third time down, lesson learned. Kids will wear swimming suits to the beach because they will always be totally WET!! They wear oblivious to the temperature. It is not super warm in Oregon in June!!

Always the ballerina/gymnast. Ellie was feeling especially free, since I am finally letting her wear normal swimming suits some of the time. (I am pretty anti-sun and have always made the kids wear shorts and rash guard swim shirts outdoors.)

More running. I wish I had a way of counting the miles these kids ran at the beach. Often they would get nearly out of sight and not hear us yelling for them to come back. Or it would be running into the waves, and running from the waves.
I took a picture with my toes in it, to prove I was there.....ever behind the camera. I wore a jacket and was using the towels as blankets. The others didn't care at all that it was probably not even 60 degrees and the breeze was blowing. I actually love the beach this way. I am not one to eagerly put on a bathing suit, and I hate to be hot, and I am anti-sun on the skin......so the northwest is the ideal beach for me.
In the couple of hours we were at the beach this particular time, it went from sunny to stormy. Which is beautiful to watch. And beautiful to watch Darin and the kids having so much fun they never even saw the storm rolling in.
God is great.
