Today we took a drive to the Uintah's to Mirror Lake and the Provo river falls. It's been the hottest week of the year so far, and we were ready to escape the heat. The high at the lake was forecast at 68 degrees!! Aaahhh! It was heavenly! The temperature, and the view, and the slow pace were heavenly.....not so much the kids arguing on the drive up!! *%$#@! Thank goodness they eventually settled in to having a great time with each other exploring and having adventures.

Darin and the kids fished off and on while we walked and stopped at different spots.
There were so, so many wildflowers. I am sure we must have seen at least twenty different kinds. So lovely!
We snagged a perfect picnic site and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.
The Provo River Falls are really spectacular. There are three of four different falls. We're going to go back on a hot day and let the kids play in the river below the falls while Darin fly-fishes. It's fairly shallow right now and so clear and beautiful.
And here is my proof that I was present today. (I'm starting to like this 'taking pictures of my feet' thing.) And for those who have known me forever...yes, those ARE the same leather shoes I have had for about FIFTEEN years!! Gotta find another pair of those!!
