Every night when I go to bed, I check in on the kids. The other night I found this in Ellie's room.
She had pulled her desk chair next to her bed and created a little "shrine to grandma". She had snagged both framed pictures from the Jones family gathering on Sunday. And with them she had displayed the doll she bought with grandma at a yard sale on Saturday, a note grandma left for her, and a gift grandma had left for her---a new umbrella.

These kids sure do love their grandma and grandpa, and have had an emotional time settling in to the idea of the being gone for two years. So sweet!!
