This family has been more than ready for a vacation! Darin needed a break from work, I needed a break from life, and the kids needed a change of scenery with no classes, lessons, homework, or schedules. So a few weeks ago we decided it was time for a trip!! As son as my kinder class was out Friday at noon, we checked the kids out of school and hit the road. Destination for the first night: Sin City. I reserved a room at hotel that was NOT a casino, and was on the southern end of the action, hoping to spare us a bit of the smut. but man alive, it's hard to go down any street in that town without seeing some serious stuff. At one point we were going to go drive around at night to show the kids the sights. We made it about two blocks and we turned around and headed right back to the hotel. I wanted to put blindfolds on the kids! I HATE Las Vegas. Definitely not for families or kids.

Luckily our hotel was awesome!! All the rooms faced this indoor atrium that made me think of a cruise ship. they had an indoor pond with koi and swans. And the pool was a fun one with a waterfall and two hot tubs.

They had made-to-order breakfast which was yummy and fun to watch from the counter. The cooks were animated and moved super fast.

For dinner we went to the Hard Rock Cafe, since it was only a bock away. A first for all of us. We had a great time. The kids rocked out and we ate some serious food.
