A favorite part of our trip for all of us....the boat ride/whale watching tour. (Mind you I was just coming off my bout with the stomach bug. But I took double Dramamine and was dandy.) The boat ride alone was really fun.
And seeing THESE was the icing on the already perfect cake! Gray whales!! We saw four of them, multiple times. That is the Balboa pier in the background.

We saw SO many dolphins! It was like in the movies or something! We were at the very front of the boat and these guys were swimming right along with us!

We saw several pods of whales and dolphins and then this....a pod of sea lions!
During the whale sightings we put the camera away. I just can't catch them fast enough. But I did a little video footage on my phone and these pics are stills from the video footage.
