Darin brought me Costco flowers. I love getting flowers!

One day last week I did a puzzle all by myself. And I took a nap!!I felt kind of guilty for not getting anything substantial done that day. No projects. No quality kid time. Nothin'! We ought to be allowed that every once in awhile, right? But nope...I felt too guilty and almost depressed for not accomplishing anything...probably won't have many days like that this summer.

Family room table. I decided to capture this image, because it says a lot. 1-The kids had played UNO with Darin earlier that day. 2-Logan found that baked onion ring recipe and we left it out so we'd remember to make them....we tried them yesterday. Tasted pretty good, but were not pretty to look at like the ones in the magazine. We'll try again. I don't cook or bake, you know. 3-Tooele Transcript showing the wheels belonging to the local road bicycling club that Darin is a part of. Darin had a crisis at work the day of the newspaper interview, so he's not in the article. 4-My black and white planner/calendar. I'd be lost without that these days. Today's date lists: 8:00, ride bikes to tennis. 10:00, swimming lessons. 3:00 golf clinic. 6:00 Nutcracker tryouts. And it lists To Do: finish cleaning out my own closet, clean out the pantry, laundry (Duh!), D.I drop off, and start basement closets and storage rooms. Note: Don't forget FHE. 5- Utah guidebook. Looking through it to add to our summer bucket list of places to visit for day trips this summer.
Say hello to Speedy Pete! I added this picture to represent some serious sorting, organizing, donating, and throwing away....that the kids and I have done this past week. I didn't take any before pictures which is so sad! So the after pics won't look too impressive with nothing to compare them to. So Pete is our mascot representing: Going through every kids item of clothing in every drawer and every closet, cleaning their rooms top to bottom and exploring the adventures that have piled up under their beds. Sorting their stashes and containers and piles of who-knows-what, toys, trinkets, and trash...and organizing their closets. Finally dumping out the backpacks from the end of school, keeping the keepers, filing the filers, throwing the rest away. And finally, finding the kids office table somewhere beneath the mountain that has piled on it for weeks and weeks. We found Pete under there.
