This is the place...still.

Annual neighborhood field trip to This is the Place Monument State Park. Still love it. Kids still love it. Never gets old. Always stay hours and hours. And hours!! Could have stayed longer. Too much to see and do...still areas we have never made it to. The kids have their favorites and want to stick with them. Number one, hands down....panning for gold! In Logan's own words, he would stay there, "all day". We panned with friends and neighbors and went back later to pan again, once we hooked up with cousins.

The big playground ship is always a hit. Only this time little cousin Isaac got stung by a wasp on the ship. He was so brave and adorable about it all...what a sweet boy that kid is! The kids all made arrowhead necklaces and spent a little time in the different Native American homes.

Even after we ran into cousins, I thought Logan and Ellie would want to go finish seeing the areas we hadn't seen yet. Nope! They wanted to stick with cousins no matter what. We just do not get enough cousin time these days!! We had a great few hours with Ben, Jake, Josh, Brielle, and Isaac. And I completely enjoyed getting to catch up with Em for the first time in forever!

The kids loved it all. Trains, splash pad, and.....chores? Yep. They loved doing pioneer chores and they had a little teamwork system down. Too bad they don't love chores at home that much!!

Yep, it's definitely still THE place!
