Johnny Appleseed Day!

The kindergarten team! Yep, we are pretty fun!!

This is how all the kinder kids looked. So cute!!

We taste tested apples and graphed, learned about how seeds grow to apples, had juice and pies, painted with apples, and did these other apple learning activities. We mixed the kids up with the other classes and they rotated through all the kinder classrooms. Super fun day!

Earlier in the week we watched the Disney version of Johnny Appleseed. It is an approved movie to show in schools. But it surprises me and makes me laugh because it's all about the bible and The Lord. The theme song sings, "The Lord is good to me, and so I thank the Lord." Awesome!!
The kids really got into learning about Johnny Appleseed this year. One mom told me that her daughter came home and said, "Mom, do you know Johnny Depp? Well, he died." Ha! She meant Johnny Appleseed! The kids were actually quite concerned that he had to die.
