Last week the kids had their first band concert! They did so great!! I can't believe how much they have learned in these few short weeks in such a huge group with one teacher!! Amazing! I love it that they have this opportunity to take music lessons for FREE! It was super fun to see so, so many kids from our school, ward, and neighborhood at the concert in all the different bands. The Stansbury High School Marching band performed at the end to get the students excited about continuing band.
Ellie was determined to quit band after this first concert. it hasn't been her favorite thing to leave the house at 7:20 in the morning, and the flute has been a challenge for her. But.....last night she and Logan gave us an impromptu concert and she did so great! We convinced her to stick with it for now! Logan is a natural and loves going to band! They don't practice enough....we'll have to step that up a bit if they are going to continue. But seriously....do the HAVE to practice at the SAME time??!!
