No school Monday. No big plans. We decided to get and and try the new metal detector...so we know how to use in when we go to the real beach. The kids called some friends and we headed to the Great Salt Lake. Man alive that place is smelly!!
The metal detector works. We found plenty of tin cans, and other trash. Even a few coins near the Salt Aire building.
We also found flip flops, shoes, bikini bottoms, socks, hats, and plenty of other junk. It's just kind of nasty out there. But the kids had a grand time and the weather was lovely! And that's the point.
Stopped at the train tracks for awhile on the way home to try out the metal detector some more, and let the kids exploring continue.
