The family torture continues!!!

I thought today would be a good day to force the kids into the annual photos in front of the Christmas tree. I had to give Logan AMPLE warning. So at 8:00 AM I told the kids that we'd be taking pictures. I informed Logan of what he'd need to wear and he was on the floor in one second flat!! I expected that--and was armed with a bribe--tomorrow we will be going to McD's play land. I figured at around noon I'd make them get dressed for church and we'd snap the pictures. But at 10:00 the kids both surprised me and were all dressed!! I was in shock (I still am!!!) Logan's pants HAD BUTTONS!!!!! Yee--haw!!!! The boy CAN still wear buttons. With bribery of course. But not only did he wear them--he didn't change out of them to go to church!! No buttons on the shirt of course--but I'll take what I can get. The kids were not exactly cooperative for the photo shoot. I'm not sure it warrants a trip to McD's, but the bribe never included "real smiles" as a stipulation. Next time I'll have to be more specific. I of course, was not ready for church since they surprised me, being all ready so early. When I was ready and dressed--NOBODY was in the mood to be in, or take pictures. So, once again, mom is behind the camera. They'll grow up and wonder where I always was. Then they'll remember, "Oh yes, she was the crazy woman behind the camera, making us do all these dozens of photo shoots!!"

Christmas photos in front of the tree year after year!! Age 21 months is missing from the group. That was the year Logan's hands were all bandaged up. I was so preoccupied with his injuries that we have very few pictures from that Christmas. The pictures today definitely have the least excited looks on their faces!! Guess they need another chance--the Christmas PJ's photo shoot is still to come this month. Sssshhhh!! Don't tell them!!

Looks like you got some great shots to me. Too bad you aren't in them too, but I can totally relate!

Love the pictures. I know the feeling. I have to pay someone this year to do ours.
