It's Sunday afternoon and a happy day at the Jones home. Darin is sound asleep. With 9:00 church now, we have the beautiful opportunity for Sunday afternoon naps!!! Aaahhh!! Logan and Ellie are making "projects". They are using my scrapbooking paper cutters and needless to say--there are scraps EVERYWHERE!!! Whatever--they are happy as little larks.
Ellie wore this "new" dress to church today. She was so excited and pranced around like only an Ellie girl does!! She came out wearing it Saturday morning--meany mom told her no. She told me, "Mom, this hat looks so cute with my hair a little bit shorter." Confession of a bargain-shopper mom: the dress came from a yard sale last summer for 50 cents!! This week we sorted through "the box", to see what else would fit the kids. Such fun!!
Today at church our bishopric was released and a new one called. Lots of tender feelings for many in the ward today. I am really excited about our new bishop. I was quietly explaining to Logan during sacrament meeting, that he was our new bishop. Not so quietly, Logan said, "Whoa, we better pay our tithing!!" I can't remember if that was before or after he not so quietly made his weekly announcement that "Mom, I need to go poo!!!"
Friday night the kids were waiting for Darin to come home from work. They thought it would be funny to surprise him and be all dressed up in dad's coats, boots, and hats. Funny little kids!!
Here are a couple more pics of the kids dressed in dad's duds Friday. As well as a couple more from today. The office and the kids "projects" are not the only mess we have this fine Sunday afternoon. The kids have made a "home" under the kitchen table, complete with plenty of blankets, pillows, drinks, and an entire huge box of fish crackers!! They were under there singing songs from primary today, wearing their robes, and having one of those carefree kid days they sing about in nostalgic songs. One of my favorite things about being a mom is watching and listening to them play. It's best when they don't know I'm listening. Pure, innocent, perfect, naughty, mischievous, giggly, JOY!!!!!

I have to say, it was a blast sitting in front of you. If you couldn't tell Logan kept us entertained ALL during Sacrament! Don't forget the continual, "What are you laughing at? AHHH, I missed it again." Too funny! & Yes when a boy's gotta poo, a boy's gotta poo. I can totally side with him. He warned you 3x's! :)

I have to admit, as much as I hate early mornings, 9 am church makes for a fun-filled afternoon! I can't believe you got that dress for 50cents! You continually amaze me with your bargains!
