Ellie's 6th birthday party

Ellie had twenty little girls at her 6th birthday party. They made a little spring door-hanger craft, read girly books, had their nails painted, played musical flowers, played ring toss, and played with Ellie's toys. For treats they had rice-crispy treats with chocolate bits and juices. Her friends gave her so many fun little girl gifts!! She has been in heaven for days with it all. Notice the picture of her crossing her legs opening gifts--she forgot she was turning SIX, not SIXTEEN!!! It was pretty cute!!

We decorated with yellow and pink balloons, and a sign and napkins with flowers and butterflies. We also made the traditional sign for the door, used our Happy Birthday wreath from Grandma Jones and her table runners, and hung pictures from the past six years on the wall.

The highlight of the party for all the girls was that Ellie's school teacher, Miss Kanz, showed up at the end of the party!! What a lucky girl, and what a great teacher!! Miss Kanz has really brought out the best in Ellie this year!! She brought Ellie and Logan Moon Sand--so much fun to play with. She also gave Ellie a cool sketch book, and the children's book, "The Jolly Postman". She told Ellie how that was a book her parents read over and over to her when she was a little girl. What a treasure for us!! We love you miss Kanz!!!!

Posted by PicasaEllie is so lucky to have so many little friends. She has such a great group of girls her age, girls I would be happy for her to grow up with. I especially appreciate her two little carpool pals, Ava and Emma for being such great examples to Ellie of how to be polite and considerate of others.
Girls parties are a piece of cake!!! Let the be "girly" and they do the rest!!!
We sent each girl home with a party favor bag with a little note thanking them for helping to celebrate Ellie's birthday--and we meant it!! Thanks you sweet girls for the fun memory for Ellie and the fun little gifts you gave her!! Number six was a party to remember!!
