(Note: This music will no longer be at the beginning of my blog. Anyone wanting to hear these songs can scroll down through my playlist and find them.)
"To where you are" Remember, Gary told us about this song after mom died. I hadn't even heard of Josh Groban yet. He had loved it because of it's meaning with his little boy Garret.
"Dante's Prayer" This is a long song. I love it. "Cast your eyes on the ocean. Cast your soul to the sea. When the dark night seems endless. Please remember me."
"My heart will go on" The song Dad used in his letter to us about saying good-bye to mom.
"Calling all angels" My prayer over and over and over when I thought I couldn't make it without mom, and when I think I can't make it now.
"Never saw blue like that" Not a song I ever thought about in regards to mom. But Kim did--mom's blue eyes. This one is for you Kimmer!!
"Remember when it rained" Mom loved the smell of rain. A song that makes it OK to mourn that we don't have mom with us here on earth anymore. We do miss her. It is sad at times.
"Ordinary Miracle" But most of the time it's not sad. Most times she just comes along with us in our thoughts. Life is normal, we gather without her. Grandkids are growing, life is flying by. Dad's daffodils are coming up all over. Ordinary miracles fill our lives. And mom is ever present.
I love you all. Hope you have happy thoughts of mom today. How about her falling in the pond picking raspberries. She was not amused!! How about the Christmas traditions. How about her BBQ sauce, lasagna, and brownies. How about the whir of the sewing machine, the speed of her card games, or the snap-crackle of her knees. "Oh George". How I miss her!! I can just hear her now, "Just hold your gonch....we'll see each other soon enough"!!!!!!!!

I have vivid memories of your sweet mother. I loved to come over because your house was always spotless and smelled so good. I loved to have a thick slice of her delicious home made bread and a cookie. She would always pull out some sort of game for us to play. In fact, I think it was your mom who taught me how to play checkers. I am grateful for your mom and how she raised you. She was such an awesome example of service and love. Thanks for letting me reminisce. Love you!
