The kids had all of last week off of school for Spring break. The end of the week was busy with Easter activities. But all week long we had such a good, relaxing break from regular life!! We started off Monday with our weekly neighborhood picnic at the park. The weather was beautiful and we stayed almost three hours. We were all sunburned!! The rest of the week was full play dates, soccer practice, later bedtimes, and wearing PJ's half the day.
Tuesday we went to Salt Lake to go to Temple Square. We parked at The Gateway just so we could ride Trax a few blocks. Ellie was sure she needed to wear a dress because it was TEMPLE Square!!! Here are a couple of family photos. Lower right hand corner is pretty typical. Upper left hand corner is as good as it gets!!
We took the kids to lunch at The Garden restaurant on the 10th floor of the JSMB. We had seats right by the window. It was fun to take the kids somewhere a little more exciting and dignified than the usual kid-spots.
Here's our second time dying Easter eggs. We tried the tie-dye method. Very messy, but pretty cool. The kids were proud of their creations, and I'm happy to say, Ellie is STILL eating hard-boiled eggs!!
