The Class of 2009 ???!!! My OTHER kindergarteners!!

So--what exactly is this post about?? The graduating class of 2009, that's what!! Below are a couple of photos from my first ever year of teaching school. I taught kindergarten in Paris, Idaho. Those kids are now graduating from Montpelier, Idaho High School. Does that mean THEY are old?? Or I am old?? I posted the first picture because you can see the poster on the wall in the background. "The Class of 2009". I had all the kids sign that thing and we had it hanging up the entire school year.

I have many photos from this school year. I need to find a way to get them to these students. They might get a kick out of seeing them!! Such FUN kids!!! I loved them and remember so much about them. The ones who pulled on my heart strings, tried my patience, made me laugh and made me cry. When I look back on it now, I didn't do much teaching that year. But we sure had a lot of fun. At that time Idaho did not have a set curriculum for kindergarten--at least they didn't give me any. Almost no teachers manuals or standards. Just a little report card that included things like "can tie his shoes" and "knows how to skip". I am serious!! And we had snack and milk every day!! Sounds like centuries ago compared with kindergarten now.

Posted by PicasaCongrats to this class of 2009!!!

I wish you the best and hope your futures are full of adventure and joy!!!

Love, Mrs. Jones
