Sunday we decided to make a quick overnight trip to Cache Valley to hang out with the fam's for Memorial Day. We had a great time!! Darin went golfing with his Dad, brother, sister, and sister-in-law at Sherwood Hills. They had beautiful weather and got hailed on all in the same game!! We had a BBQ with steak and the works, homemade scones and so much YUMMY fresh fruit!!!! Pineapple, raspberries, strawberrries, grapes, watermelon---oh my gosh it was GOOD!!! I'm going to stock up on fresh fruit this week--it was just so GOOD!! Thanks for the feasting, Marilyn!!
My family and Darin's family all live very close to one another--so often our events with one family overlap into the other family. I'm never sure where one stops and the other starts. Here are the kids playing with their cousin Ada, (my side of the fam), at Grandma's house (Darin's mom), in dresses sewn by my sister, for the little cousins in Darin's family. See what I mean--it's all intertwined!! And it's great!! This afternoon my Dad came to hang out at Darin's parents home--it just all works out!!
Two pretty princesses and "Old King Cole", as Logan called himself.
The kids were more than excited when they were at Bonka Don's last night and their cousins Wyatt and Shay showed up. Logan and Wyatt always run and hug each other---so cute!! Bonka has three baby parakeets in the house. The kids loved holding them and I think Ellie has a new top animal on her "I want a pet" list. Thanks for letting us hold the birds guys. And Aunt Rachie--thanks for taking the kids to McD's playland!!
We were lucky enough to get to see the kids cousins, Maddie and Savannah for a little while. They are here in Utah with their mommy, Heidi, visiting from Ohio!!! We will get to see them at a family reunion next week, but we just couldn't wait that long to get a glimpse of them!!! Thanks for meeting up with us Heidi!! The kids had a great time playing on the playground, catching ladybugs, and throwing pine cones in the rushing river!! Such cute little girls!!
Can't wait to see everyone next week for a serious family moment--three days with 20 adults and 18 kids under the age of nine!!!! Whew---it'll be a party to remember!!!

Thanks for the great 24 hours everyone!!

Thanks for letting Ada crash the Jones'.
Sounds like - and looks like - a fun weekend. But then again, when aren't your kids having fun!
