Yesterday we spent an entire day (12 hours total) on a family outing to Lagoon amusement park!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU to Aaron and Heather for the two free tickets, and to Naomi for her discount coupon and free parking pass, and to Jerry Seiner trucks for our final free ticket. (FYI--anyone can go to Jerry Seiner and test drive a car for a free Lagoon ticket!!) Nothing like wheelin' and dealin' to get a normally priced over $250 day for almost FREE. We also got free catered lunches thanks to Aaron and Heather again!!! My kind of day of deals!!
Rattlesnake Rapids!!!
Logan and me buckling in for the classic white roller coaster ride. He was so brave!! He loved the roller coasters, Wild Mouse, and especially Colossus!!! At the very end of our day we talked Ellie into trying it--and we all went on Colossus together. Upside down twice at a high rate of speed reminds me that I am not sixteen anymore!! But if the kids are "daring" to do it--I have to do it too!!
Here are Logan and Dad buckling up for "The Bat", another pretty big ride for the kids. Near the end of the day Ellie was really getting brave and decided on her own to ride "The Bat" as well.
We spent a couple of hours in Lagoon-a-beach, the water park. Logan of course LOVED it that he was tall enough to ride the big water slides. And Ellie was content running around splashing in the kids slides area. Here are the kids watching a song and dance show in their PJ's after swimming. It really was such a perfect day. We loved the view from the huge ferris wheel. We were amazed at how great the kids did--not a single second of whining or complaining--just great attitudes and a FUN FUN time!!

What a day! And the whole thing abour Logan disappearing for a while is EXACTLY why we haven't hit any theme parks yet. We do not have kids who stay by our sides! Looks like loads of fun though.
Wow! I can't believe how daring your kids are!
Like you said, what a perfect day! And how did you ever manage to get such great pictures?? So scary losing Logan though! I would have been in tears for sure.
