It was 1970-something !!!

I've been going through some old family photos and pictures from my childhood, and thought it would be fun to post a few, to give readers a good laugh. Here's my childhood "Brady-Bunch" family. I am the little gal on my Dad's lap. (Note my Dad's gray hair--it started the day I was born, I swear!!) The three "Charlies Angels" on the couch are what my family refers to as "The Big Girls". Here they were in their teenage glory days, complete with homemade dresses!! The two gals in the back with the sweet haircuts--well, those are my other two big sisters, again, in homemade dresses, blending in nicely with the yellow paisley wallpaper that was freshly hung!! My two brothers speak for themselves...poor guys having six, almost seven sisters!!! And the baby of the fam, Naomi? Well, she was still "cookin' in the oven" when this family photo was taken.
Such a great time of life!!! Memories of cranking homemade ice-cream, deep-frying homemade donuts and onion rings, playing BINGO with dried kernels of corn, three sisters sharing a dorm-like bedroom, and me sharing a room with my two brothers!! Perfect childhood is what I had!!!

Now, about that perfect childhood......Daugs siblings........WHERE are these chairs?? You know, the orange chairs? We had them for forever and now I want to know where they are. Who has them?? Can I have them?? If mom gave them to one of you "Big Girls" when your own kids were little---you BETTER not have given them to the DI or something!!! Fess up, all ye non-sentimental siblings---where are the chairs???? Ammon and Alison??

In this pic, we are sitting on our deck in Victoria, Canada. Notice the forest RIGHT in our backyard----Mom and Dad sure chose beautiful places to live. Notice the lovely polyester pants we are all wearing. This is the very deck that we were on when Ammon tried to saw my arm off. Really, he did, with a real saw. I BLED!!! Anyways--the point is---the orange chairs in the picture--WHERE are they??

Happy memories!!

Those orange chairs ARE awesome! I'd want them back if I were you...it's funny how certain things from our past can make such an impact on us...like orange chairs. I wonder what it will be for our children?

I promise I don't have the orange chairs. But should I happen to come across replicas at a yard sale, I'll pick them up for you! Yes, what floods of memories come in digging up an old photo!
