Fall Fun in Cache valley !!!

We spent all of last weekend up in "God's country" staying at my Dad's place. Couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather for the weekend!! We had a great time with all the Daugs cousins. The kids got to help with our annual picking of the apples and making juice with Bonka Don's old fashioned apple press. We came home with lots of yummy juice!!!

We were also lucky enough to be there when the family makes homemade potato donuts, just like when we were kids. And just like my Dad did when he was growing up. The kids all loved helping to roll them and cut them. When they are done, we dip them in sugar, powdered sugar, or cinnamon. Such a fun childhood memory!! Thanks Bonka Don and Aunt Rachie for the fun times!!

Naomi and her girls stayed at Dad's with us. So we got to hold little Bailee lots!! And the kids were thrilled to play with almost all of the little cousins during our stay. Here are a bunch of them eating dinner (donuts) on the big tree stump, and playing on "The Logs". The kids are in heaven on that natural playground!!

And, of course, we always come home with the jackpot after we visit family in Cache Valley. Of course there was the juice---and all these yummy apples from my Dad's orchard. And even with Darin's parents out of town--they still sent us home with stuff!!! Tomatoes, veggies, and the most fun mini pumpkins!!!
