The Friday after Thanksgiving, we got to participate in a Whyte family Washington tradition. They go to a HUGE Christmas tree farm to choose and cut down their own tree. It was incredible and smelled soooo good!! The farm is acres and acres. You have to drive to get to the different fields with different varieties of trees. Then beyond the farm, you can see into the Olympic National Forest. Truly stunning!!
Logan sat right down on the ground to see Larry sawing the tree down. Ellie was a lucky-duck and got to have a shoulder ride from her cousin Andrew. It sure was fun for Ellie and Logan to have so much attention from three older cousins for a few days. After the tree was cut, we went to a little "hut" and had hot apple cider, and Shari read the kids a story about the Christmas Tree Farm.
