Here the kids are sitting with Santa for the first time this season. It was at our ward Christmas dinner party. Last year we saw Santa multiple times, but this year it may be just this once. I'm trying to really simplify this year. I left at LEAST half the holiday decorations right in the boxes. No ribbons or bows on the tree. Only five nativities on display. (I know that sounds extreme--but I collect them, and it's usually at least a dozen.) I've chopped my list of who to buy gifts for, and we may or may not even get around to neighborhood gifts and treats. I am enjoying the slower pace, not freakin' out about what I still have to do to get "ready". I've even actually been curling up with a great holiday book for a handful of hours the past week!!
