Ellie's new bedroom!! PART 1: The Bed.

Earlier this week I repainted Ellie's bedroom. The whole room isn't ready to be photographed yet. We are still waiting on the wallpaper border and some shelves and pictures need to be hung on the walls. But..the bed is ready!!! And sooooooo cute!! This is the bedding set I got for such a great deal, back when I got Logan's new bedding.

We are not using the headboard that came with the bedding set. We have the wrong types of metal rails, and besides---Ellie's wooden bed is so darling!! Her bed came second-hand from her great-grandma Tanner. This is the second time we have painted it. I think it turned out so great. We painted the knobs yellow this time. The cute little sign used to hang on the wall. But now the walls are pink on the top. We can't hang the pink sign on a pink wall. So I attached it to the bottom of her bed. It says, "With a butterfly kiss and a ladybug hug, sleep tight little one--like a bug in a rug." Perfect for her bedding theme.

Ellie really wanted her room painted green and a darker pink. So this bedding worked perfectly for that. And I just happen to LOVE yellow. And anything gingham checked!!

I am really glad she was excited about the colors and prints--still not too grown up.
