To give everyone a good laugh--thought I'd post a few old pics of Amy and I. Amy raised black labs when we were kids. I can't remember ever liking dogs, but I'm sure I did--because AMY did!! I wanted to be like her in every way!! She is five years older than me, but my closest older sister in age. We shared a bedroom, and a bed when we were little. Amy was always SO nice to me. She never made me feel like I was the bothersome little sister. She let me borrow her clothes, tag along on her babysitting jobs, come in the room when she was with her best friend, and would play games with me. I wish I had been the same kind of big sister!! (Sorry Naomi!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!)

As a teenager, Amy was my confidant, and true friend!! I hated it when she got married and moved away--but it did give me opportunities to go visit her in Wisconsin, Tennessee, Indiana, and Colorado. I even lived with her for one semester I took off from college. In those days there was no e-mail. (Weird!!) So we have lots of hand-written letters from each other during those years. And lots of long-distance phone bills!!
Amy was my Maid of Honor at my wedding. After my mom died, her family moved back to Cache Valley. And when my kids were born, we moved back to Utah as well. So we were finally able to see each other more often!! Those few months I lived in Logan while Logan and Ellie were babies were so fun for me!! Amy and her kids were always stopping by, and Amy and I got in our routine of going out together, long chats, laughter, tears, and sharing with each other our real life.
Many of you who read my blog do not know my sister, Amy. A few of you do know her, and a few others may think you know her. I count it as one of the greatest blessings in my lifetime--that I DO know Amy. And that she knows me. She is genuinely kind, and thoughtful. She is a strong soul and is still standing on her own two feet after every battle life throws at her. She is an amazing mother. I wish I had her patience!!

Looks like so much fun. I wish I had gone. Christy told me she wasn't going, or I would have tried to ride with her. I just didn't want to go alone. I guess I missed the memo on her chainging her mind. I missed out. :(
Those are the kinds of things I need. My fault I guess.
Amy looked to have had a great birthday,
Aren't sisters the best. I have a sister named Aimee and we are close as well, execpt I live in CA and she is in Utah. So lucky that you two are able to live closer now and have fun dinners together!
You are so lucky to have such a great relationship with your sister! She sounds amazing. I'm just in awe that with so many sisters, none of you look anything alike!
