Our Anniversary Trip !!! Part 7 of 7 - The Cozy Accomodations!!

(Note: The following 7 posts are about our anniversary trip. If you want to read them in order, start with Part 1 and scroll back up to this one. I do multiple-post blog entries this way, because then they are in order when we have them printed in to a book.)
Here are a few more pics of the cabin, Ancient Mariner. It is a small place. There is an upstairs loft with two beds. (We will be back one day with our kids to enjoy this perfect little loft!!) The entry room has a cozy little electric wood stove that we always had on!! The family room faces the deck and the ocean and is all windows!! The couch and the recliner were so comfortable--it was unreal to just chill out and watch the surf out the window. There is a little kitchen with everything you could ever need, and a little bathroom. The bedroom is small--but--it does have what it needs--a KING size bed with the BEST memory foam mattress ever!! I slept soooooo good at this place. I loved that bed!!

Of course the whole place had a lighthouse/beach theme to it. I loved how all the little details added to the ambiance of the trip. Seashell coasters, and a trunk/coffee table with a coastal map as the tabletop. The framed pictures of sailboats. The driftwood on display, and the round mirror in the loft reflecting the ocean outside. Loved it all!! (FYI--The 2nd-3rd years of our marriage we had a lighthouse themed bedroom. We had RED carpet--and that's all I could think to do with it.) I have always loved the seaside and all things nautical!!

We loved this wooden box in the entry room of the cabin. Read it.

Good thing that "Public Indecency" rule was only in place for the beach, and not the deck. We love, love, loved having a hot tub right outside our door!! Seriously--who gets to sit in a hot tub, while the waves crash right below you, and at high tide the sea spray may even reach you. Swimming suits are totally optional, as the deck is private enough. It must have been one of our favorite things to sit out in the hot tub so many times. Two nights we sat in the dark under millions and millions of stars. A couple of nights we sat in the rain. One afternoon I sat out in the tub during the best storm. Now we're trying to figure out how we can have a hot tub on our deck at home. Can't see it happening. So.....we'll just have to go back to this perfect location someday soon!!!

Happy 15th Anniversary to us!!! And many more......
