Our Anniversary Trip !!! Part 6 - The spectacular food and storms!!

I think we must have eaten seafood every single day!! And I loved every bite of it!! Here's a couple of our meals we prepared in the cabin. We cooked up shrimp and the mini fish fillets Darin caught and cleaned, and made fish and shrimp tacos---oooo yummy!! Funny side note--the shrimp are the very bait we used to catch the fish. We ate at Wahoo's Fish Taco's restaurant twice--right after our plane landed, and right before it took off on the way home. Had cod at one restaurant, and Chinese shrimp at another. There was a super restaurant right next door to the cabin, "The Nautical Inn" that is known for it's seafood. We ate there one night, with a candlelit table next to a huge picture window, and we watched the surf crash while we ate. I had "The Captain's Platter" with grilled fish, giant shrimp, giant scallops, and clams!!! Oh how I love seafood!!! We did veer from the norm and grilled out chicken one night. And Darin ordered steak. But seafood was pretty much what was on the menu for the week!!

We enjoyed a couple of days of sunny, blue skies. And then a couple of days of partly rain. We still went out and about in the rain--hiked a Redwood Trail, fished a little more, etc. Then..we had one day of a major storm. We stayed inside most of that day and LOVED it!! It is amazing to be that close to the ocean and watch the power of the storm.
These are a couple of pictures I got when the storm let up enough to actually stand outside with the camera.

This was the coolest thing ever!! There was about a ten minute time period that the sun just shined through this break in the clouds. It was black storm to the right and left of the picture--just this one sunny hole in the horizon. It was brilliant and shined things up like it was high noon. But as quickly as it came, it was gone and the black clouds covered the sky again. Yes, this pic was taken off our deck!! What a location!!

God is GOOD!!!
