Yesterday was the big day--they turned SEVEN!! They had a short school day. Right after school we loaded up and headed to a hotel for a birthday overnighter. They have really been wanting to go to this hotel, because it has a big water slide that they see every time we drive past the place. There is an indoor mini water park in the hotel. The big tube slide goes outside the building and then back in at the bottom. Pretty fun as far as hotel pools go!! We had a great two-bedroom suite with a kitchen. (The only way to do hotels, as far as we're concerned.)
The main event was the water play!! We went swimming three times. I decorated the room and we surprised the kids with their gifts and cakes. They got new PJ's--I love PJ's and always get the kids too many!! The "cakes" were really one store-bought cake that I cut in half and stuck candles in. The hotel serves FREE dinner as well as breakfast, so no eating out for us. It was great!! (Staybridge Suites, FYI--if anyone wants to take a fun spring break overnighter next week.)

The hotel also has a really cool complimentary theater room that we were able to reserve just for us!! We watched Scooby-Doo on the big screen. Here are the kids watching the flick in their sweet theater seats.
