Today the kids finished up a little service project we are doing as a family. We made four blankets for "Project Linus" of Salt Lake. They collect newly made blankets for those in need. We found out about them through the "Disney's year of service" project. Anyone who does a designated service project this year, gets a FREE ticket to Disneyland for one day. I don't know if we'll make it to "The Happiest Place On Earth" this year or not--we are hoping to go in the Fall. But even if we don't use the tickets, it was a great project to do with the kids.
I am definitely a "no sew" kind of gal. So we made fleece blankets. Only skills required are cuts and ties. And a super project for kids!! The kids were so great about it. Good attitudes and lots of conversations about those who are less fortunate. I have got to do things like this more often!!
Way to go Logan and Ellie !!! Winners for sure!!!
